HRH Crown Prince Condemns Terrorism
HRH Crown Prince Alexander has condemned most sharply the Kosovo Albanian
terrorist action in the south of Serbia and Kosovo which has been going
on for the past few days threatening the preservation of peace in the area.
The Crown Prince condemns all acts of terrorism. The terrorists killed
a number of Serbian policemen in the vicinity of the administrative border
between Serbia and Kosovo and took control of some villages. Apart
from that, in Pristina the terrorists carried out an attack on the office
of the Yugoslav representative, killing one and injuring two persons.
Furthermore, Kosovo Albanian extremists killed Dzemail Mustafa, an adviser
of the President of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Dr. Ibrahim Rugova.
Judging by all this, it would appear that the terrorists are engaged in
a serious attempt to destabilize the whole region.
HRH Crown Prince Alexander fully supports the Federal and Serbian Governments,
as well as the international organizations and everyone else in their condemnation
of terrorism. He points out that the extremists never wanted
peace or democracy in Kosovo and Metohia to flourish, but rather the creation
of an ethnically pure state with no room for other nationalities and religions.
His Royal Highness believes that all problems in Kosovo can only be solved
by peaceful means while taking strictly into account the interests of all
its inhabitants regardless of their ethnic origin or religion.
