40 YEARS OF THE INSTITUTE FOR MENTAL HEALTH
Belgrade, 7 April
2004 – TRH Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess
Katherine attended the celebration of the 40th
anniversary of the Institute for Mental Health at the City Hall in
Belgrade today.
Beside Their Royal
Highnesses the celebration was attended by HE the Minister of Health
Mr. Tomica Milosavljevic, representatives of other mental health
institutions from our country, as well as many associates and
friends of the Institute.
At the beginning of
the ceremony the guests were welcomed by the General Manager of the
Institute Prof Dr Petar Opacic who introduce them to the work and
the future plans of this important health institution. HE the
Minister of Health Mr. Tomica Milosavljevic in his address to the
present pointed out that the mental health care is the care of our
entire society.
Then the present
were addressed by HRH Crown Prince Alexander II who congratulated
them on the 40th anniversary and pointed out:
“Your great concern
for the mental health of your patients is worthy of every praise.
You put effort every day to assist them in becoming equal members of
our society, and you are highly successful in doing so” and added
that they always count on his Family’s support and assistance.
On behalf of the
Institute the host of the celebration Prof Dr Petar Opalic invited
the guests to the projection of the documentary film about the
Institute for Mental Health in Belgrade after which the plaques and
diplomas were awarded to the most prominent individuals and
organizations, among which was the Foundation of Crown Princess
Katherine.
