Lifeline Greece Humanitarian Organization (Lifeline Hellas) organized for 9th consecutive year the traditional humanitarian Christmas dinner in the presence of Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine at “Grande Bretagne” Hotel. Crown Princess Katherine is the Patron of Lifeline Greece. The event was in aid of Juvenile’s Home of Piraeus “Kalos Pimenas”. The event was attended by the son of Princess Katherine, Mr David Andrews and his wife Dr. Angie Margaritis Andrews and also Princess Katherine’s sister Mrs. Betty Roumeliotis. Also present were HE Ambassador of Turkey Mr. Kerim Uras and his wife Mrs Eynep Uras, the Goodwill Ambassador of Unesco Mrs. Marianna Vardinoyannis, HE Ambassador Mr. Dionyssis Kodelas with his wife, the National Ambassador of Greece to the Council of Europe on Sport, the General Secretary of the Ministry of Health Mrs. Christina Papanikolaou.
Mrs. Poly Metaxa donated to the Municipality of Echalias in Messinia, in memory of her son John, an ambulance which was in front of the main door of “Grande Bretagne” Hotel. The Mayor of Echalias, Mr. Aristides Stathopoulos received the ambulance and thanked Princess Katherine, Mrs. Polly Metaxas and Lifeline Greece for such an important donation.
Dr. Zissis Boukouvalas, President of Lifeline Greece welcomed everyone. HRH Crown Prince Alexander thanked the participants and spoke about the meaning of giving. The guests were especially touched by Crown Princess Katherine’s speech, as she referred to the needs that exist and highlighted that the purpose and the real success in life is to offer to the people in need. Mrs. Argiro Bletsa, Appeals Court Judge and President of the “Kalos Pimenas”, thanked Lifeline Greece for the great donation.
The attendees enjoyed the lovely decor of the evening made by Ms. Emi Trikardou and Mrs. Lila Voglis of “BEAT Bespoke Events & Services” company and received gifts from Estee Lauder, Max Perry Patisseries, Patseas Jeweler, Health Aid, Beauty World by Despina Gavala and Lysis products. A full programme of opera artists entertained the audience.

Lifeline Hellas has been helping Greece because there are significant needs due to the difficult financial situation of the country, in close cooperation with Lifeline’s offices in New York, Chicago, Toronto and especially in United Kingdom. The major activities of the organisation is to provide medical equipment to children’s hospitals and the support of institutions. Greece had helped Serbian very much during the troubles.
