Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Katherine took part in a huge public walk as part of “Milioooooon reasons why I want the world next to you” Campaign against breast cancer, held today in downtown Belgrade. Also present H.E. Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic Dejanovic, Mr. Veran Matic, director of B92 Humanitarian Fund, Ms. Vesna Kovljenic, director of AVON Serbia, Prof. Dr. Sladjana Filipovic and Valerija Lalic, breast cancer survivors, and many other guests and participants.
“Milioooooon reasons why I want the world next to you” is a campaign against breast cancer and is organized by B92 Humanitarian Fond, Avon Serbia, United States Embassy in Serbia and the Ministry of Health of Serbia.
Lifeline Humanitarian organization from the United States is under auspices of HRH Crown Princess Katherine has done a lot of help women in Serbian regardless of religion or ethnic origin: They donated a digital mobile General Electric mammography machine worth 700 thousand euros to Nis Clinical Centre and also mammography machines to Arandjelovac, Kragujevac and Paracin hospitals. HRH Crown Princess Foundation in Serbia works with Sloan Kettering Hospital in New York and MD Anderson in Houston Texas to provide specialised training for our radiologists so that they can have the latest knowledge. HRH Crown Princess Katherine Foundation organises in Belgrade annual conferences for Cancer thanks to Sloan Kettering Hospital from New York who send experts.
