THE FIRST VISIT OF
HIS HOLINESS SERBIAN PARTIARCH PAVLE
TO THE ROYAL PALACE
His Royal Highness Crown Prince
Aleksandar II hosted a reception today at the Royal Palace for His Holiness
Serbian Patriarch Pavle.
His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Pavle
gave to the Crown Prince Aleksandar the holy vessels
(cross, chalice, icon lamp, censer
etc) from the Royal Chapel of Saint Andrew the First-called that were up to
now preserved at the Museum of Serbian Orthodox Church.
On December 13th, on
Saint Andrew the First-called Day and the slava of the Royal
Family, His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Pavle will
consecrate the Royal Chapel, serve there the Holy Service and consecrate
cake made for slava and wheat.
This was the first visit of His
Holiness Serbian Patriarch Pavle to the Royal Palace and the Royal Chapel.
Princess Katarina, Prince Filip and
academician Matija Bećković and arch. Dragomir Acović,
members of the Crown Council
were present at today’s reception.
Dr. Slobodan Mileusnić,
director of the Museum of Serbian Orthodox Church and archdeacon Mr. Momir
Lečić, secretary of His
Holiness accompanied His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Pavle.
