ORGANIZATION HUMANITARIAN DINNER AT THE BRITISH AMBASSADOR
RESIDENCE IN ATHENS

Athens, 15 June 2010 – A Humanitarian
dinner “Greek Serbian Saving Children Campaign” was
organized last night in Athens by Lifeline Hellas
Humanitarian Organization (www.lifelineaid.org) at the
British Ambassador Residence in the presence of Their Royal
Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess
Katherine of Serbia. The aim of this humanitarian event was
to help Lifeline Hellas to support children in Serbia with
serious vision and hearing problems and to help the Hellenic
society MERIMNA (www.merimna.org.gr)
for the care of children in the last stages of their life.
The joint “Greek Serbian Saving Children
Campaign“, is thanks to the decision by Lifeline Hellas that
during these difficult times to share humanitarian aid
between both Greece and Serbia.
Guests were warmly welcomed in
magnificent gardens of the British Ambassador’s Residence by
HE the British Ambassador to Greece Dr. David Landsman OBE
and Mrs. Catherine Louise Holden. Speeches were also given
by TRH Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine,
HE the Serbian Ambassador to Greece, Mr Dragan Zupanjevac
and Mrs Danai Papadatou, President of MERIMA.
Before dinner guests had the pleasure to
hear a lovely concert of chamber music with compositions of
J.C. Arriaga (1806-1826) and R. Schumann (1810-1856)
performed by two superb musicians, Mr Guttman (violin) and
Mr Kapelis (piano).
