THE ROYAL COMPOUND ONCE AGAIN TAKES PART IN MUSEUMS NIGHT
Exclusive exhibition “Spring Night’s Dream”
Belgrade, 19 May 2012. – The Royal Compound was once again part “The Museums Night” with an exclusive exhibition “Spring Night’s Dream”. On Saturday night, while walking around the Royal Compound, several thousand guests had the opportunity for the first time to see “Recreational Centre”, the only building within the Royal Compound built after the World War II.
The aim of the “Spring Night’s Dream” exhibition was to introduce guests to The Royal Compound unique landscape and monuments. During the walk visitors had the opportunity to see the Royal Park, which is designed on two different concepts of landscape architecture.
The sculptures and park are uniquely reflecting visions and ideas behind The Royal Compound through different periods of time.
Some of the numerous art objects that were shown to the public are fascinating sculptures “History of Croats”, “Sphinx” and “Milos Obilic”, made by Ivan Mestrovic, also guests visited the musical terrace where they enjoyed a piece made by Toma Rosandic titled “A Violinist”.
