ELEVENTH ANNIVERSARY OF THE CROWN COUNCIL

The session chaired by His Royal Highness
Crown Prince Alexander II
Belgrade, 14 February 2003 – Anniversary of renewing the Crown Council,
founded on the Day of the Presentation of the Lord (Sretenje) in 1992,
chaired by the renewer of the advisory bodies of the Crown HRH Crown Prince
Alexander II was marked at The White Palace tonight.
A formal dinner was organized by Their Royal Highnesses after the
session.
On the Day of the Presentation of the Lord in 1992, advisory bodies of
the Crown were renewed: Crown Council and Privy Council. Persons outside
political parties from the country and abroad were nominated for the
members, and their mandate was not time limited. Throughout all these years
the members have stayed united together.
Last night’s session was attended by the members of the Crown Council:
Mrs. Svetlana Velmar – Jankovic, academician Ivan Antic, academician
Dragomir Vitorovic, academician Miroslav Gasic, Prof. Dr. Slobodan
Vitanovic, Prof. Dr. Pavle Nikolic, academician Milorad Pavic, academician
Predrag Palavestra, academician Slobodan Perovic, Prof. Dr. Branko Pesic,
Dr. Bosko Djukanovic; members of the Privy Council: Arch. Dragomir Acovic,
Prof. Dr. Dusan Batakovic and the member of the Crown Cabinet Mr. Zoran
Trifunovic.
The session was not attended, due to previous engagements, by the members
of the Crown Council: academician Matija Beckovic, academician Zivojin
Bumbasirevic, academician Aleks Draganic, Prof. Dr. Dragoljub Kavran,
academician Dusan Kovacevic, Prof. Dr. Nikola Moravcevic, academician Mladen
Srbinovic, Prof. Dr. Djordje Vid Tomasevic, Mr. Predrag Markovic, Prof. Dr.
Bogoljub Sijakovic and the members of the Privy Council: Mr. Djordje
Novakovic and The Hon. Branko Terzic.
The present at the dinner remembered with sadness and pride their
deceased members: academician Borislav Pekic, Mr. Stjepan Dragojlovic, Mr.
Milorad Ilic, Mr. Borislav Mihajlovic-Mihiz, academician Miodrag (Mica)
