A CONGRESS OF ANAESTHETISTS
OFFICIALLY OPENED
Belgrade, 30 September 2004 – HRH Crown Prince Alexander II and
Princess Katherine have attended tonight at the City Assembly the
official opening of “ASDA 04”, the international congress of
anaesthetists.
At the beginning the guests were greeted by professor Vickovic,
who has stressed in his speech that this congress was dedicated to
the latest achievements in anaesthesia. The highly praised experts
in this field, from our country and abroad, have registered for the
Congress.
HRH Crown Prince Alexander then addressed the guests. He
expressed his pleasure in seeing there a great number of experts in
this important field of medicine.
“I am very delighted to be able to open a Congress of
anaesthetists and for being its Patron. I am sure that this will be
an opportunity for exchange of important experience in this
essential field of medicine and that our patients will benefit from
it. A responsibility of you doctors, anaesthetists, is enormous. You
have in your hands human lives and you fight for them daily. I am
convinced that it must be an exceptional joy when your fight is
victorious”, stressed in his speech the Crown Prince.
The participants will be given the opportunity through lectures
and talks to exchange experience and fill up gaps in knowledge in
this branch of medicine, in order to secure as high-quality
treatment for the patients as possible.
