HRH CROWN PRINCE ALEKSANDAR AND PRINCESS KATARINA

AT CEREMONY OF LAYING TO REST  SAINT
EMPEROR  UROŠ’S REMAINS

 

 
Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince
Aleksandar and Crown Princess Katarina yesterday attended the
ceremony of laying to rest Saint Emperor Uroš’s  remains,
 which were brought from the
Cathedral Church in Belgrade to the Monastery 
Jazak at Fruška Gora. Accompanying  the
Crown Prince and his wife were H.R.H. Prince Vladimir, the son of H.R.H.
Prince Andrej, and his wife Princess Brigita.

The relics of Emperor Uroš were kept
originally at the Monastery Jazak , but were transferred to the Cathedral
Church in Belgrade during the Second World War in order to be 
protected from sacrilege.

Their Royal Highnesses and the members of the
Family were also present at the Holy liturgy celebrated at the Monastery
Jazak by His Holiness
Serbian Patriarch Pavle, together with the Right Reverend Bishop
Vasilije of Srem, priests, monks and deacons.
