THE CHANCELLERY OF
H.R.H. CROWN PRINCE
ALEXANDER II
OF
YUGOSLAVIA
OFFICIALS
FROM INSTITUTIONS OF NATIONAL IMPORTANCE AT RECEPTION AT THE ROYAL PALACE
Their Royal
Highnesses Crown Prince Aleksandar II and Crown Princess Katarina hosted a
reception for the officials of the institutions of national importance at
the Royal Palace at Dedinje last night.
Directors of
various institutes, foundations, theatres, museums, galleries, libraries,
archives and bureaus from Belgrade, Novi Sad, Niš and Kragujevac attended the
reception.
Welcoming his
guests the Crown Prince said that the institutions they represented were
not just depositories of history, but living organisms from which the
entire society drew ability and strength to understand the present and to
trace paths that led to the future and prosperity.
“When
a society is in trouble, the first victims are institutions such as those
you represent. It is not our invention; it is a common occurrence. It
is because of this that your role becomes even more significant and your
work of crucial importance”, Crown Prince Aleksandar II pointed out.
Academicians
Miroslav Gašić and Ivan Antić and Prof. Slobodan Vitanović,
members of the Crown Council also attended the reception.
