PRINCESS KATHERINE ATTEND THE FRENCH AWARDING OF CHEVALIER
DANS L’ORDRE DES PALMES ACADEMIQUES
Belgrade, 12 May 2010 – Their Royal
Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess
Katherine attended today the awarding of the Chevalier dans
l’Ordre des Palmes Academiques at the Residence of the
French Ambassador to Serbia.
H.E. Mr. Jean-François Terral, presented
awards to the laureates. The ceremony was attended by
members of diplomatic corps, representatives of the public
and cultural life of Belgrade and Serbia and families of the
laureates.
Seven very distinguished university
professors and scientists from Serbia were nominated this
year for this prestigious award by H.E. Mr. Luc Chatel, the
French Minister of Education, for their achievements in
promoting Serbian – French cooperation in different fields
of education and science: Prof. Dr Nevena Secen, Professor
at the Medical Faculty of Novi Sad and a member of the Royal
Medical Board of the Crown Princess Katherine Foundation,
Prof. Dr Ivana Vujic, Professor at the Belgrade Faculty for
Dramatic Art, Prof. Dr Mihajlo Crnobrnja, Dean of the
Faculty of Economics, Finances and Administration (FEFA) in
Belgrade, Prof. Dr Miroslav Milicevic, Professor at Belgrade
Medical Faculty, Doc. Dr Vesna Cakeljic, from the Faculty of
Organizational Sciences in Belgrade, Ms. Mila Popovic –
Zivancevic, director of the Central Institute for
Conservation in Belgrade and Dr Miroslav Jeremic, from the
Institute of Archaeology of the Serbian Academy of Sciences
and Arts (SASA).
