Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine flew to Cape Town to attend the 80th birthday celebrations of Peace Laureate Former South African president F.W. De Klerk’s.

Their Royal Highnesses arrived yesterday in Cape Town for the gala dinner in honour of Former President F.W de Klerk’s birthday. Their Royal Highnesses were seated at the head table next to the President and Mrs de Klerk. Seated next to the Crown Prince was Prime Minister Helen Zille of  Western Cape South Africa. Also on the table were Dame Judith Macgregor British High Commissioner, Chief Mangosuthu Buthelezi, Professor John Maree husband of Premier Helen Zille and Mrs Martha Vernicos the sister of Mrs Elita de Klerk and Sir Micheal Hintze. The dinner was also attended by Lord and Lady Ashcroft, Baroness Chalker of Wallasey former United Kingdom Minister of State for Overseas Development and Africa, and numerous South African politicians and distinguished guests.

Their Royal Highnesses attended the 70th birthday of Former President F.W. de Klerk when the late President Nelson Mandela of South Africa was present.
