Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine attended on Saturday as guests of honour a fund raising banquet at the Marriott Hotel – Downtown New York to celebrate the seventieth anniversary of St Sava Cathedral in New York City.
Mr Nenad Milinkovic Cathedral President introduced guests and gave a historical overview of St Sava Cathedral. The Very Reverend Djokan Majstorovic Cathedral spoke about St Sava Cathedral and its rich past. Other guests were His Grace Bishop Dr. Mitrofan of Eastern America, Reverend Dr. James H. Cooper Dean of Trinity Church, Wall Street, His Excellency Mr Milan Milanovic Ambassador of Serbia to the United Nations, Mrs Mirjana Zivkovic Consul General of Serbia in New York.
His Majesty the late King Peter II and the Royal family frequently attended services at St. Sava Cathedral.
