HER ROYAL HIGHNESS PRINCESS KATHERINE
VISITED THE REPRESENTATIVES OF OUR COUNTRY AT THE PARALYMPICS GAMES

Belgrade, 29 September 2004 – Her Royal Highness Princess Katherine
visited in Sunday, 26 September the contest in swimming in Paralympics
Games for the disabled, which took place in Athens from 17 to 28
September 2004. In race for 150 meters our representative, Mr. Nenad
Krisanovic, who is competing in the Paralympics for the fourth time.

The five of our sportsmen represented our country, Serbia and
Montenegro, who competed in tennis, swimming, athletics, and made very
good results by achieving two bronze medals – Zlatko Kesler in table
tennis and Milos Grlica in javelin throw.
HRH Princess Katherine together with the President of the
Paralympics Committee, Mr. The deputy minister of health and the
president of the Paralympics Committee of Serbia and Montenegro Mrs.
Nada Bozic congratulated to our sportsmen for their great achievements
and wished them good luck in their future contests.
Paralympics always takes place in the same year as the Olympic
Games, and respecting the lateral agreement between the International
Olympic Committee and the International Paralympics Committee, the
city, which is a host, is obligated to host the contestants of the
Games. The first contest for the disabled took place in 1948 in Great
Britain, and Paralympics took their today’s form in1960. Since then
eleven summer Paralympics and seven winter Paralympics held. Next
Paralympics will take place in Torino, Italy in 2006, while the winter
