Members of the “Kingdom of Serbia“ association, under patronage of HRH Crown Prince AlexanderII, visited Kosovo and Metohija and delivered three tons of humanitarian aid, provided by TRH Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine, to the monastery of Visoki Dečani, Patriarchy of Peć and the Church of St. Dmitry in Kosovska Mitrovica.
The aid consisted of flour, cooking oil, pasta, sugar, canned food, cleaning and personal hygiene products, as well as clothes and shoes.
Led by the association’s president Mr Bojan Starčević, members of the “Kingdom of Serbia” left for Kosovo and Metohija on Friday, April 12, 2013, by bus, provided by the Serbian government’s Office for Kosovo and Metohija.
During their second official visit to Kosovo and Metohija, members of the “Kingdom of Serbia” went to the monastery of Visoki Dečani and Patriarchy of Peć, where they delivered the aid to the monks. Most of it will be, as before, distributed to Serbs living in enclaves.
After the monasteries, members of the association proceeded to Kosovska Mitrovica, where they delivered humanitarian aid to the priests of St. Dmitry church, consisting of food, cleaning and personal hygiene products, educational materials for schools, toys, clothes and shoes, which will be distributed to the most vulnerable Serbian families in Kosovska Mitrovica.
Beside HRH Crown Prince Alexander II and the Royal Palace Fund, this charity action was supported by many of our citizens from all over the country, as well as by the single largest donor, company “Žitopromet“ from Senta.
