Jankovic, who thanked HRH Crown Prince Alexander II and HE Iyed
Morteza Hezdari, Ambassador of Republic of Iran on behalf of
director Mrs. Talilo Halili and himself for their presence, which
gives importance to this significant launch of successful trade
cooperation between Serbia and Iran.
Afterwards HRH Crown Prince Alexander II and HE Ambassador
Hezdari cut the strip and officially opened the first office for
trade cooperation between Serbia and Iran, within which there is
also a gallery. Beautiful hand-made Persian carpets, handicrafts and
decorations are exhibited in the gallery, and reflect the rich
cultural heritage of Iran in the best way.
At this important event also present were representatives of the
diplomatic corps, public and cultural life. The office and gallery
carry the name of the most beautiful Palace in Iran – the Arpadane,
which was first destroyed when Iran was conquered by Alexander the
Great during his crusades. With today’s opening of the office and
gallery “Arpadana” in Belgrade, the chain of the large number of
“Arpadana” galleries World wide has been enlarged.
