Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander II and Crown Princess Katherine hosted an International Cuisine Dinner for members of diplomatic corps in Serbia tonight at the White Palace. HRH Princess Elizabeth, and Mrs. Alison Andrews daughter of the Royal Couple were also present.

This unique event gathered Ambassadors and diplomatic corps representatives from more than forty countries in Belgrade who presented traditional cuisine of their countries with typical national dishes and beverages, together with distinguished guests from Serbia.

The Crown Prince welcomed the guests and emphasized that it is always nice to see such a colourful banquet table at the White Palace, and that this event brings us together by giving us a chance to get to know each other’s culture better, by gathering and tasting dishes and beverages of various countries.

The dining table of the White Palace was enriched this evening with so many wonderful, tasteful and colourful dishes from all over the world, including cuscus and dates from Algeria, pudding from Angola, cookies from Australia, carbonade flamande from Belgium, beef slices, prawn balls and  rice vermicelli from China, kofta and baklava from Egypt, peanut sauce from Guinea, Makki sushi from Japan, Kim chi salad from Korea, tabouli, humus and kibbeh from Lebanon, Mole Poblano chicken from Mexico, pie and meat from Montenegro, fruit jelly from Myanmar, Biryani from Pakistan, cake from Slovenia, American apple pie, Austrian goulash, Greek cake and many other delightful dishes and beverages.

The distinguished guests had a pleasure of enjoying the National Serbian dances performed by “Stari Dusanovac” ensemble from Belgrade.
