Her Royal Highness Princess Katherine and Dr Bojana Jankovic Weatherly from New York officially handed over 3 infusion pumps and one surgical aspirator to the Institute for Mother and Child in Belgrade, worth over $ 8,000.
Dr. Jankovic Weatherly was born in Serbia and immigrated to Canada at the age of thirteen. Upon graduating from medical school, she moved to the United States, where she completed residency training and built a successful career. Dr Jankovic Weatherly is a Lifeline New York Board member of Lifeline Humanitarian Organization New York under the patronage of HRH Crown Princess Katherine. Together with her famous husband Mr. Michael Weatherly, Hollywood actor she is helping Serbia by donating medical equipment to hospitals. Last year Dr. Jankovic Weatherly donated medical equipment worth more than 16,000 Eur to the Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic “Narodni Front” in Belgrade.
“I thank Dr. Jankovic Weatherly who, despite living far away, never forgets her homeland. I hope that this equipment will improve the recovery of your little patients and your work as well” – said the Crown Princess in her speech.
Dr Radoje Simic, Director of the Institute, as well as the entire medical staff of the Institute, thanked Princess Katarina and Dr.Jankovic Weatherly for their donation and assistance.
Accompanying HRH Crown Princess Katherine, during her visit to the Institute was Rose Glamoclija, a member of the Boca Nursing Services organization in the United States, who deals with personalized home care.
