TRH Hereditary Prince Philip, Princess Danica, Prince Stefan and Princess Marija arrived in Chicago, where they were warmly welcomed by representatives of the Serbian community, the clergy of the Serbian Orthodox Church and numerous children dressed in traditional Serbian folk costumes.

The Hereditary Prince expressed his gratitude for the warm and emotional welcome: “We arrived in Chicago last night, and the welcome given to us by the children, clergy, and representatives of the Serbian community deeply touched my family and me. Seeing the Serbian tricolour flag, children in traditional costumes, hearing the songs of our people and feeling the warmth of the welcome far from the Homeland is strong proof that love for one’s origin, faith and tradition knows no bounds.”

He particularly emphasised the importance of the younger generations of Serbs in the diaspora: “I was particularly pleased that the new generations of Serbs in the diaspora proudly preserve their identity and pass it on. This is the best confirmation that the ties of our people with the Homeland will remain strong in the future.”,

The Hereditary Prince also thanked the Serbian community in the United States for its long-standing commitment to preserving the Serbian name, culture and Orthodox faith. “Your efforts, dedication and love for your people represent a bridge that connects the Homeland and the Diaspora and preserves our unity through time,” he emphasised.

He expressed special gratitude to His Eminence Archbishop of Nova Gračanica and Chicago and Metropolitan Login of the Midwest America, the clergy and the Diocese of New Gracanica-Midwest America, emphasising their important role in preserving the spiritual and national identity of the Serbian people in North America.

During the coming days, Their Royal Highnesses will participate in a series of significant events organised on the occasion of Vidovdan festivities and meetings with the Serbian community in Chicago.

Their Royal Highnesses express their joy for the upcoming meetings with the Serbian community in Chicago and their gratitude to all who, with their work and dedication, have been preserving the Serbian name, the Orthodox faith and love for the Fatherland for decades.
