His Royal Highness Crown Prince Alexander II attended today the traditional event “Swimming for the Honourable Cross” in Sabac, organised for the tenth time on Holy Epiphany Day, under the patronage of His Royal Highness.

His Grace Bishop Lavrentije welcomed HRH Crown Prince Alexander at the Eparchy of Sabac. The Crown Prince delivered a speech before the race emphasizing: “All participants today show great courage and trust in God. Let us pray and hope that we all respect these values in our everyday life. It is my great honour to be the patron of this event”.

Following the ceremony the race started with competitors who swam 33 meters downstream the Sava River. HRH Crown Prince Alexander handed over a special cup to the winner of this years’ “Swimming for the Honourable Cross” in Sabac race, but also commended all participants and many citizens of Sabac who came to mark the Holy Epiphany Day.
