PRINCESS KATARINA ATTENDS CELEBRATION OF ANNIVERSARY OF “ALLIANCE OF WOMEN
OF YUGOSLAVIA”

 

 

H.R.H. Princess
Katarina attended last night at the Ethnographic Museum in Belgrade
celebration of the tenth anniversary of work of non-governmental
organization  Alliance of Women
of Yugoslavia. Alliance of Women of Yugoslavia is an associated member of
International Alliance of Women situated 
in New York and UNESCO Center for Women and Peace in Balkans  situated
in Thessalonica. This organization successfully co-operates with Greek
League for Women Rights and Association of Women of Balkans and one of its
main goals is review of questions of crucial interest to women such as the
improvement of education, cultural development, social security of women and
family etc.

In the name of
Alliance of Women of Yugoslavia,  Mrs.
Vera Šljivić-Milošević,
president of the organization presented the program of the organization and
emphasized the importance of its further affirmation.

After the
cultural program, H.R.H. Princess Katarina was given numerous presents.

Princess Katarina
congratulated the anniversary to the members of the Alliance and expressed
her support to the efforts to improve the position of women in Yugoslavia
and the world.
