His Royal Highness Crown Prince Alexander II visited the Air Force Headquarters and Air Medical Institute in Zemun today. He was welcomed by Major General Dr. Miodrag Gordic, deputy Commander of Serbian Air force and Air Defence, Assistant Commander Colonel Dragan Panic, Chief of Air Medical Institute Colonel Miroslav Pavlovic, Chief of the Department for Military Civil Cooperation, Colonel Zvonimir Pesic, other officers and staff.
His Royal Highness Crown Prince Alexander laid a wreath at the monument to members of Air Force killed during the NATO bombing of Serbia. After that he visited the Air Medical Institute and was introduced to activities of this institution by Colonel Miroslav Pavlovic and his colleagues.
At the Air Force Headquarters, HRH Crown Prince Alexander visited an exhibition “Karadjordjevic’s and Serbian Air Force through History”.
The Serbian Air Force and Air Defence were established 24 December 1912 in the city of Nis and it is one of the oldest air forces in the world.
