Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Katherine, accompanied by Dr Nada MIlosavljevic, and in the presence of Mr Boban Djurovic, Mayor of Vrnjacka Banja, officially opened a new Kindergarten in Novo Selo, named after Her Royal Highness.
“Princess Katherine” Kindergarten has been built thanks to a donation of US$50,000 from Nada Milosavljevic, MD, JD, Director of Integrative Health Program at Massachusetts General Hospital and Instructor at Harvard Medical School, a renowned Serbian psychiatrist, who lives and works in the United States of America and whose family is originally from this part of Serbia.
The Municipality of Vrnjacka Banja has provided premises, furniture and all necessary permits for the Kindergarten.
Addressing children and their parents in Novo Selo, HRH Crown Princess Katherine emphasized: “I am very happy that we are gathered here in Novo Selo today to open this beautifull kindergarten. Our dear friend, Dr Nada Milosavljevic, who gets the most credit for this event, is here with us today. She wanted to present this kindergarten to this village because her family is from this area, and by doing that to pay homage to her roots.“ Her Royal Higheness added that she and her husband Crown Prince Alexander are being blessed to know wonderful people, like Dr Milosavljevic, who are always willing to help our people and our country, and who never forget their roots.
The children from Novo Selo performed a play for the guests, and were very happy to receive toys from HRH Princess Katherine and Dr Nada Milosavljevic.
Building of kindergartens in rural areas of Serbia is part of the project implemented by Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Katherine Foundation over last several years, and this is the third one, after those opened in Matejevac and Gornja Toponica.
