Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine welcomed today at the Royal Palace around 40 members of Youth Network of Serbs in Croatia from different parts of this country – Eastern Slavonia, Kordun, Banija, Lika, Dalmatia, Istria and Zagreb, who started their 3 days visit to Serbia by visiting the Serbian Royal Family and the Royal Compound in Dedinje. 

This visit of Serbian youth from Croatia to Belgrade and Novi Sad was organized by the Metropolitan of Zagreb and Ljubljana of the Serbian Orthodox Church and the Embassy of Serbia in Zagreb Croatia, in cooperation with Serbian organizations SNV, SDF, SKD “Prosvjeta“ and SPD “Privrednik”.

Crown Prince Alexander welcomed the guests and said that he was very happy to have the pleasure of receiving them at the Royal Palace, emphasizing that it was very important for all Serbs, no matter where they live, to keep close ties with the Homeland, and that the Youth Network of Serbs in Croatia presents an excellent example how this should be.

“I am very happy that you keep up with Serbian traditions and culture, that we are all very proud of. It is important that everyone is respected in Croatia and in Serbia regardless of religion or ethnic origin. Ties between Serbia and Croatia have to be strong, friendly and based on mutual respect and understanding,” said Crown Prince Alexander.

During their visit to Serbia, members of Youth Network of Serbs in Croatia will meet with President of Serbia Mr Tomislav Nikolic, Committee for Diaspora and Serbs in the region of the Parliament of Serbia, Patriarchy of the Serbian Orthodox Church and Church of St. Archangel Michael in Belgrade, Ethnographic Museum and Nikola Tesla Museum, and Faculty of political sciences in Belgrade.
