With the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Irinej of Serbia, the bells of Belgrade’s St. Sava temple will ring as signal of the birth of the new born of the Karadjordjevic Royal family, the first child of Their Royal Highnesses Prince Philip and Princess Danica.
This will be the first time in history that 49 bells of the biggest orthodox temple in Balkans will announce such a birth.
The corner stone of St. Sava Temple was laid by His Majesty King Peter II (the father of Crown Prince Alexander) and Metropolitan Gavrilo of Montenegro, the future Serbian Patriarch Gavrilo V of Serbia, on 10 May 1935.
