M.Sci. Svetlana Jovanovic – Juga, associate of Botanical Garden “Jevremovac”
Born in 1949 in Banatska Subotica. Graduated from primary and secondary school in Bela Crkva. Graduated from Faculty of Forestry, major in horticulture, at Belgrade University from 1975 employed as Head of Greenery Department in Institute for Urbanism in Bela Crkva
She won numerous prizes for activities in the improvement of city greenery and organization of numerous flower exhibitions in Bela Crkva. From 1988 she worked for Institute of Botany and Botanical Garden “Jevremovac” in Belgrade as inspector and later as an associate for dendroflora.
She obtained her Master’s Degree in 1996 at the Centre for Multidisciplinary Studies of Belgrade University, major in protection and improvement of environment with the thesis “Taxonomic-Horologic Analysis of Existing and Perspective Dendroflora (trees and bushes) of Botanical Garden “Jevremovac”.”
She published six scientific and several expert articles.
In Botanical Garden “Jevremovac” of Biological Faculty university of Belgrade she intensively worked on cultivation, breeding, enlargement and determination of botanical fund. She is also author of Guide through Dendroflora of Botanical Garden “Jevremovac.” It is the first work of that kind and contents since of foundation of “Jevremovac.”
