The Exhibition “Yugoslav King’s Royal Palace through the work of the architect Nikola Krasnov“ was opened yesterday at the National Museum in Kruševac.
The exhibition is dedicated to the life and work of architect Nikola Krasnov. In the period between the two World Wars this experienced and versatile artist was involved in building the Royal Compound in Belgrade, the future home of HM King Alexander I and his family. Krasnov, formerly a Russian architect, was a project engineer, interior designer and art historian, and this exhibition, through selected reprints from archival documents, will show to the public just one paragraph from almost half a century long works by the great architect Krasnov.
The exhibition was opened by the National Museum’s director-in-chief Mr Goran Vasić, Mr Dragomir Acovic, member of the Privy Council, and Ms Viktorija Kamilic, art historian and curator at the Royal Palace.
The exhibition’s organization was supported by the city of Kruševac branch of the “Kingdom of Serbia” association, headed by Mr Jovica Vujičić.
